🖱️ Microsoft Introduces 'Computer Use' Feature in Copilot Studio

What’s Going On?

Microsoft just dropped a big update to Copilot Studio called “Computer Use.”

It means Copilot can now use your computer like a human would.
Yes - click buttons, fill out forms, scroll websites, and interact with apps even if they don’t have an API.

It’s still in early preview, but it’s a big deal for businesses using older tools or disconnected systems.

What Microsoft Is Saying

Microsoft announced the new "Computer Use" feature in Copilot Studio as a way to give AI the ability to interact with applications and websites using the graphical user interface - the same way humans do.

They describe it as a major step toward building AI agents that can:

Use your apps without needing APIs
Complete tasks by clicking, typing, and navigating across screens
Help businesses automate operations even when tools don’t integrate
Stay functional even when user interfaces change slightly (like new buttons or screen layouts)

Microsoft released it as an early research preview and will share more at Microsoft Build 2025.

Can a Copilot click through CAPTCHAs? No. Those are still a blocker (for now).
Could it accidentally click the wrong thing or share sensitive info? Yes - if it’s not properly guided.
Will you need to watch what Copilot sees? Absolutely.

This tool is powerful - and needs guardrails.
Because once it has access to your screen… it has access to your screen.

Microsoft knows this and is launching it as a research preview only for now.

🔗 Integration - Who Needs Integration?

Here’s the real kicker:
This feature can replace traditional integrations.

Instead of writing APIs, managing webhooks, or hiring devs to make two systems talk, you can just have the AI:

Log into System A
Copy what it needs
Paste into System B

The “Computer Use” feature makes integration optional - which is wild.
